Who We Are
Philadelphia-Whitemarsh Rugby Football Club is a Non-Profit, 501(c)3 organization located in the Greater Philadelphia Area, representing our city and its hard-working values throughout the country. Philadelphia Rugby Club, founded in 1961 and is the oldest club in the Philadelphia region. Whitemarsh Rugby Club, founded in 1967 is the second oldest rugby club in the Philadelphia Region. These two oldest clubs in Philadelphia merged in 1985 to form Philadelphia-Whitemarsh RFC and has been competing on USA Rugby’s National Scene as a competitive rugby side since its inception.
As a club, our goal is to grow the sport of Rugby locally, while giving back to our community in any way that we can. In part, contributions from local companies and supporters of PWRFC have allowed us to establish a strong network of business professionals, philanthropists, and followers who support our community outreach goals.
